International Workshop on PDEs: analysis and modelling
Celebrating 80th anniversary of professor Nedžad Limić

June 19-22, 2016

Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia

WeConMApp - Weak convergence methods and applications is a research project funded by Croatian science foundation (HRZZ). Information about project members and goals can be found here.

Plenary Speakers

Aim of the Workshop

The workshop aims to bring together experts on PDEs and their applications, promoting the exchange of ideas and providing overview to recent accomplishments in the field, as well as to exhibit recent results obtained within WeConMApp research group. The workshop honours Professor Nedžad Limić, a retired but still active member of the group, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, for his contribution to Science. This includes his early works on singular potentials in quantum mechanics, Helmholtz equation, applications of kriging, pollution modelling, stochastic PDEs, numerics for second order PDEs.

The workshop will take place at Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and will count with several talks by eminent researchers covering a wide range of methods to treat problems in homogenisation, fluid mechanics, control theory, microlocal analyis etc. Several of the invited speakers have directly collaborated with Professor Nedžad Limić. Besides the lectures delivered by the invited speakers, we also plan to have a restricted number of contributed talks.
